My name is Guy Landau, I am a language enthusiast, translator and Hebrew tutor, having privately tutored dozens of students of all levels and age groups -from total beginners to people who were already fluent and wanted practice, from 13 to 70 year old students. In addition to experience in teaching languages during my military service in the IDF's 8200 Intelligence unit, I have also developed a unique and proven methodology for learning Hebrew, specifically designed to help students overcome and master even the hardest and most complex parts of the language, such as verb conjugation, prepositions, and accents with relative ease. Several students have specifically told me that I they managed to "solve verbs" (a notorious roadblock for many Hebrew students) thanks to a single lesson on the subject with me using my method. I have created my own materials and worksheets designed to help even the most inexperienced of students build a solid base of Hebrew to start conversing. Every topic comes with multiple exercise sheets, and can be adapted to each student's specific needs. If you're a total beginner, I will quickly get you to the point where we can start conversing. If you're experienced with Hebrew, I have many supplementary materials I have collected over time to help practice speaking, reading, sentence formulation and spoken comprehension. I am constantly improving my collection and adding to it to help facilitate and optimize the learning process. The material and methodologies I developed are based off of scientifically proven learning method such as Spaced Repetition, mnemonic devices, testing, and associative learning. This knowledge is mixed in with my own experience, having learned 3 foreign languages on top of my native Hebrew to great effect. As far as I am concerned, the most important part of teaching a language is to adapt the method of teaching to the needs of the student, as different people study languages in different ways and for different reasons. That's why I have collected and developed a lot of varied material focusing on a wide array of topics, which can be easily adapted to different use-cases.
Hello and SHALOM to you :) My name is Daniela and I would love to be your Hebrew tutor. Although I am a native Hebrew speaker, being a native speaker is not enough in order to be a good tutor and not having a special talent for languages doesn't mean you can't learn quickly, efficiently and even enjoy the process of learning! Whether you want to learn for fun, business, travel, Alyia or for any other reason, I believe that my method along with years of experience teaching literally hundreds of students and learning new languages helped me crack the key for the ultimate language learning process. Please feel free to book a lesson and I am here if you have any questions ;) LEHIT. *P.S., if you are a beginner and about to travel to Israel very soon, I suggest that you take a look at the beginner kits I offer here below, but it's not mandatory at all!
*Thank you so much for considering me being your Hebrew Teacher!* *When booking a trial class, please book one at least 24 hours in advance as my schedule might change * HI! I'm an American currently living in Israel, so I speak (American) English and Hebrew fluently. I've been teaching both English and Hebrew for over 10 years, usually in 1x1 settings, both in-person and online. I've been a professor's assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for 3 years, where I taught English as a second language in small groups. I've been studying French and Italian over the past few years - meaning I personally know what type of struggling my students go through. I believe that every student needs a tailored approach according to his or her needs. I love telling about two identical twins I've taught, and though in theory they should have been on the exact same level and like to use the same methods - the opposite was the truth. Whatever the method is, it will always revolve around the 4 pillars of language learning - reading, writing, speaking and listening.
