¡Hola! My name is Mariana and I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm a teacher of English as a Foreign Language and a qualified Spanish tutor. I've taught Foreign Languages for more than 16 years. I believe that learning a language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. Learners trully learn a language when they are involved in real communication. For this purpose, I plan my lessons taking into account your needs and interests. I include authentic material such as videos, songs, literature and games in the foreign language. I work hard to provide my students with a variety of meaningful activities and creative lessons. Don't hesitate to contact me, I promise you will have fun while learning!
Hello everyone! I’m Cristina, a polyglot (fluent in 7 languages and currently studying other 2) and certified foreign languages teacher from Barcelona. Learning and teaching has always been my passion as well as my job because I think there’s always room for improvement and practice makes perfect. I have experience in language academies, banks, schools, companies, groups of all ages and one-to-one tuitions. My method or 10 key points to success: . Pre-Assessment of your level, strengths and weaknesses in your first lesson and Continuous Assessment to verify your improvements or detect doubts you might still have in every lesson. . Learning in an encouraging, comfortable and friendly atmosphere with an extremely supportive teacher. . Selected materials and tailor-made lessons to cover your needs. . Developing multiple skills in every lesson: reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. . Enhancing learner’s autonomy by developing healthy study routines, time management, memorizing techniques and ways to continue practicing after our lesson. . Authentic materials and course tasks to replicate real communication and situations, always with a guided and structured conversation. . A language focus part in every lesson (grammar or vocabulary) is fundamental, because accuracy is as important as fluency. . Discovering and reflecting about the target-language culture is a basic part of learning a new language. . Organization and planning while setting your goals at the beginning of your language-learning adventure. . Constant feedback between student and teacher concerning difficulties, tastes, needs, etc. I offer: . General language lessons for those students willing to improve at 360°. . English, French and Spanish Test preparation lessons for those who want to get a certification. . Conversation lessons, if you only need to maintain your level and achieve fluency. . Business lessons for professionals to perform efficiently in their target language. . The Polyglot Experience for those looking for the greatest challenge ever – having a conversation in multiple languages, constantly switching. *All lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least a 24-hours in advance notice. Thanks for understanding!

I've worked for 3 different universities as Spanish Teacher and Lector in France. I have a masters degree in Spanish as Second Language and another one in Spanish Culture and Civilization. I'm currently a PhD. Candidate in Hispanic Studies. I am a professional translator specialized in audiovisual field (subtitling and dubbing) which cultivated a special interest in teaching my own language, job that I have performed successfully since 2012. In class, I talk to my students about different topics, the ones that they find more interesting, while I take notes of the different problems I might see. Simultaneously I correct mistakes and explain the specific grammar rules related to the subject. Then I propose exercises to help them improve their performance.
