I am a 24 year-old Dane, who is right now living in Medellin Colombia, working as an English teacher. I have taught and worked in a multicultural and multilingual setting since I was 19. I have a bachelor's degree in Political Science, so I am very familiar with academic English and I enjoy talking about politics, culture, rights and development.
I have always been extremely fascinated by languages. I travel a lot and whereever I go, I always try to learn basic greetings and words from the native language of the country.
It is my philosophy that each student's learning proces is different and it is my job as a teacher to accomodate that. Also I strongly believe that anybody can master the English language but it takes both time, persistence and hard work.
I love teaching - especially English. Since Danish is my native language I hardly ever speak my native tongue here in Colombia. I rely on English and Spanish as my second and third language. I have studied and spoken English for the last 14 years. In Denmark we start learning English from the first grade, this means that I have been bilingual since I was about 12. Being bilingual is a gift and it is something I would love to pass on to others by teaching English.
