I am a Modern Languages and International Politics graduate who found her passion for languages very soon in her life. This took a very young me from my home country, Spain, to Scotland in search for new opportunities, challenges and, sure, adventures! It was there where I found my second passion, teaching - the perfect way to keep learning while passing on everything I love about languages. While living in Scotland, I did my undergraduate degree and a master's in Translation and TESOL and worked as a foreign and second languages teacher - having taught from primary level to university students and older adults.
MY EXPERIENCE AND TEACHING STYLE:
I have taught students from all around the globe (all European and English speaking countries, Russia, China, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia...) and I'm familiar with the difficulties speakers with different mother tongues and cultures face at every level.
I like my students to have fun in class and so I always strive to create a nice, easy-going atmosphere - and, let's be honest, have fun myself! I have a very conversational style and try to integrate all 4 skills in class (or through homework sometimes, depending on the students' preferences). As a teacher I love grammar but I know it can be pretty scary for some students so I have a very practical approach to it: I teach it from a cognitive perspective and try to keep instructions clear and brief so it is easy to process and apply by students.
